Itinerary:
- Wat Suan Dok, this temple was built in 14th century Lanna Thai monarch’s pleasure garden and is a favourite spot for photographers. Several of the white chedis contain ashes of Chaing Mai’s former royal family.
- Wat Phra Singh, this temple dates from 1345 and is one of the focal point of Songkran festivities each April 13-15 when people bathe the revered Phra Phutthasihing Buddha image. The temple compound includes the lovely Lai Kham chapel with its exquisite woodcarving and northern-style murals, and a magnificent scriptural repository with striking bas relief.
- Wat Chedi Luang, this temple is the site of an enormous pagoda, originally 280 feet high, and which was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. At one time, Wat Chedi Luang housed the revered Emerlad Buddha image now enshrined in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew. One of Wat Chedi Luang’s most striking architectural features is a magnificent Naga staircase adorns the chapel’s front porch.
- Wat Chiang Man, is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai and goes back all the way to the founding of the city in 1296, when King Mengrai decided to build a new city and make it the new capital of the Lanna Kingdom , he builds the Wat Chiang Man as the first temple of the new city on the site he used to supervise the construction of Chiang Mai.

Overall a nice tour, would recommend. Tour guide kept the tour moving. The tour was on time and informative! Entry fees were included in price. Recommend going early in the day to avoid lines.
We were collected on time and in total there were 9 of us on the tour, mainly Brits and Americans. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave a good commentary as the tour progressed. Our tour comprised of visits to 3 different temples, 2 in the city and 1 about 30 minutes away on a hillside. Each temple was more impressive than the last and the sights were breathtaking.
The tour was well-timed at 4 hours and the afternoon start (1PM/13:00) was great, as we preferred to sleep in. The guide was a seemingly very nice person as well. The tour did accomplish the goal of visiting 3 temples in Chiang Mai, one of which was Wat Doi Suthep, a must-see temple in Chiang Mai.
With so many temples to see in Chiang Mai, this was a great way to get a glimpse of a few different ones. Easy way to see multiple temples in the mountains.
There were only 3 of us on this tour which was awesome, plus a driver and a tour guide (whom spoke English). I can't remember her name, but she was fantastic. She gave us so much historical information on Chiang Mai. After the last temple visit, she took us to the jade factory where we got a tour and learned how to spot fake jade. She then asked what our plans were for lunch and recommended some great restaurants. Overall a great way to see the city/historical sites if you don't have a car.
We got to see 3 temples. The Forrest Temple was the best, so peaceful and less crowded than others. It's a must see! Guide was knowledgeable, group was small.
Very nice tour, led by our tour guide. He picked me up punctually, where I joined the rest of a small group (6 of us). We went to 3 temples, the first in the centre of the old town, Wat Chedi Luang, then to the famous temple, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, at the top of the mountain. We stopped on the way at Wat Pha Lat, a forest temple, which was both serene and spectacular. Our guide was very good at every step. We finished at a jade factory and then sampled some local delicacies in the market before our return.hourney.
